OUr family set out on our journey from Chicago to Gatlinburg, driving our 1998 Conversion van. The last 100 miles, we knew something was wrong, probably transmission. My son and I limped over to Chip's transmissions. No other place in town. We thought for sure this was it-transmission done. Within hours, we received the phone call from them saying they took it out on the road for several miles to find the same problem we described. Then, checked it out and said they would be able to order parts and repair it. They were able to fix it within 24 hours. What a relief. For all the work and parts that they put in, it was an excellent price.. We drove that van home with no problems and we just want to say that Lester and his crew, including Tony, get very high marks. You guys saved our vacation. Thank you! It is nice to come across such honest mechanics, they are hard to find, Thank you again! Sue and Al Oak Lawn
