Last year we decided to take a break from a very stressful time in my life and we headed to Gatlinburg Tenn. for a few days. My wife's SUV's transmission went out a couple days after we got there, it would only stay in first gear. I came to the mountains to relieve the stress not add more. We were 2.5 hours from home. We check the internet and ran across Chip's Transmission. I was impressed with the reviews that was on their web site. So I gave Chip's Transmission a call and talked with Eric Sharp (Manager), he was taking calls on a Saturday even though they were not open. The Lord had to be looking after us. You could not ask for a more pleasant person to talk to. He said we were only a couple of blocks from Chip's Transmission and ask if we needed him to get us a tow or could we drive it to the shop. I was able to drive it to the shop. After talking with Eric on the phone, he said he knew what needed to be done and he would handle it for us. He reassured us that the transmission specialist that was at Chips Transmission was excellent and he would be able to repair it. Stress relief even though I was leaving my SUV to a stranger. Phil Sims (Owner) even took the time to call me later that night and we talk with about the transmission. It would take a couple of 3 or 4 days before the SUV would be ready. Eric call me a few days later and said my SUV was ready and that I could come and pick up the SUV. I sent my nephew to Sevierville to pick up my SUV. With the passing of my mom when I return home I was unable to return. The only regret was that I was unable to meet the guys in person that went above and beyond. Our SUV is running great. No problems, No leaks. I wanted to again thank you all for being so friendly and helpful and professional. You made a stressful situation a lot easier to deal with. The next time I am in Tennessee I will definitely stop by and say hello. I highly recommend this company because they were honest, had integrity and they did everything they said they would do and more. Steve and Paula from Chesnee SC
